Flower Care
Caring for Your Fresh Floral Arrangement
These simple tips are designed to extend the life of your floral arrangement and keep it bright, beautiful and fragrant.
Flowers thrive in well-lit, cool areas (ideally 64° - 72° F). Placing your arrangement away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, radiators, televisions or other heat-generating appliances will noticeably increase the time you have to enjoy the bouquet you've ordered.
Your flowers will benefit from daily watering. For the best results, be sure to fill the vase or container to the top with water every day. It is important to add water even if your order has been arranged in floral foam. All of our bouquets are filled with water that has been treated with special floral food. You will not need to completely change the water unless it becomes very cloudy. If you change the water in your arrangement, don't forget to add a fresh supply of flower food to the water. Always read your flower food's instructions before use.
If your flower bouquet needs to be removed from its vase for more than 30 minutes, always re-cut each stem at a 45-degree angle before returning it to the water. Doing so improves a flower's ability to absorb water.
In the unlikely event that a rose wilts prematurely soon after its delivery, immediately remove it from your arrangement. Re-cut the rose's stem underwater and then submerge the entire flower in warm water until it revives. This should take about two hours.
Finally, don't forget to take a moment to enjoy your arrangement. Having fresh flowers is a treat that improves any room, so make time to appreciate one of life's simple pleasures. Now that you know how to take better care of your bouquet, why not place your order today?

It is important to get your flowers into water and into a cool area (ideally 64° - 72° F) as soon as possible. Cut the stems (at least ½" from the ends) at a 45-degree angle underwater. Carefully remove any excess foliage or debris from the stems. Place the flowers into a vase or container filled to the top with fresh water. Don’t forget to add flower food. Always read your flower food’s instructions before use.
Place your bouquet in a well-lit, cool area away direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, radiators, televisions or other heat-generating appliances.
Plant Care
When watering your indoor plant or dish garden, saturate the soil with water then tip the plant slightly to drain off the excess.
If your plant’s soil becomes too dry, fill a large bucket or sink with water and submerge the plant’s entire container until the soil is well saturated. Remove the plant from the bucket or sink and drain off the excess water.
Often, heat or dry conditions can cause plant foliage tips to turn brown and dry out. If this occurs, use scissors to cut off the browned tips at an angle. Remove the plant from the heat source and water as needed.
As flowers fade on blooming plants, clip them off to direct the plant's energy toward growth and flower production.
